Ten on the deck tonight! I think it's parents and juveniles, but
I'm not sure.
I am having to fill the feeders twice a day. In fact, I thought they were leaking, and I finally realized that with ten hummers eating, they are going through the sugar water. They aren't the only ones eating, as you see.
My faithful Jester was with me. The birds don't mind him.
And yes, it was still pretty warm.
I saw this guy on the way home from church tonight.
And his companion. I can't tell if they are juvenile turkey vultures (I think they are) or black headed vultures. If I had paid attention when this one took off, the turkey vulture has white undersides to his wings.... the black-headed has the white only on the tips of his wings. I am going blank trying to remember what I saw when he flew off.
Keith is home for the time being from the hospital, and may possibly be going back next week. We are waiting and praying.

ReplyDeleteContinuing the prayers with you... Hi Jester, well done taking time to smell the vegetation! The hummers are a delight... YAM xx
Will definitely continue prayers and hoping for the best.
ReplyDeleteThere used to be a lot of touch-me-nots around my sawmill, years ago. They attracted the hummers, so when the engine wasn't running, sometimes we could enjoy watching the little visitors.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers for Keith's health, Lily's comfort and your peace of mind.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of hummers on the wing! Prayers for Keith....

Great pictures. My camera stinks. I can only take still shots and lot of them are blurry.
