And Kelly, too!
Eating the porch decorations.
Inside every time I open the door. To be fair, they were bottle fed inside Cindy's house. It's okay for them, as far as they know.
Sometimes, they're in their pen and behaving.... if they can beat the chickens to their feed.
We have a surprise coming on Sunday.... can't wait to show you!
If you look at the picture above, you';ll see that I "fixed" this little stool. Keith told me that the reason the tops were warping was that the person that made them had put them on too closely together.
I maybe made the above a little too far apart, but the goats still used it last night.
They like to lay on these little stools.
OOPS! I had better let a few walnuts stick around for this little guy!
And of course, this morning, the Assistant Protector of Us All was with me every step of the way, even in the cold.
I think I goofed when I set the camera last night, because I got NO nighttime pictures. I'll be careful setting it tonight, to be sure we see what's going on. We know something was down there last night, because Lilly Ann was on high alert all evening.
Now I'm off to do evening chores and water.
Be careful out there by yourself. Take one of the bigger dogs with you. We think it is funny the little goats like to come into the house. Hugs to Abs

Marcy's goat did that too. Princess was bottle fed and stayed in a dog crate until she didn't fit anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt's cats that come in the house every time the door opens. Only one gets to stay for any length of time.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a cooler day in Kansas. We did outside chores and talked about putting up Fort Cocoa. When we first did this we used concrete blocks to shield our dog Cocoa from the north wind and we called it Fort Cocoa. Now we put a tarp which covers most of the north side of her pen and over the top. Her pen is close enough to another building to keep the wind off from the west. We usually end up putting this up on a WINDY day. Today would have been perfect (not windy) but hubby was tired from his other chores.
Your goats are so awesome!
ReplyDeleteIts dark out and so your chores must be all done now.
ReplyDeleteThose little goaties have gourmet food when they eat those decorations!
Good thing you got some protectors over there!

Mary Ann,
ReplyDeleteI must agree with Stellaroselong, be careful. If this is a wild cat, or coyote and their hungry or you get to close not knowing their there it could be dangerous.
Your decorations and pumpkins are delicious Mom :-)
From the looks of things it's a wonder you still have fall decorations left. Your picture of them made me think of the old expression of someone eating you out of house and home...Isn't lovely to see how great all the critters get along eating together like that. I'll be looking forward to seeing your Sunday surprise.
ReplyDeleteGoats are such browsers!~
ReplyDeleteJust be a little careful, they don't eat something they shouldn't :)
Very cute!!
I think it is so neat that you have walnuts.
ReplyDeleteThose goat girls think they are house pets.
Have a wonderful weekend.
House goats sound so much cuter than they really are. ;-) I always feed my goats the pumpkins after Halloween. They are really good for them.
ReplyDeleteVery cute kids, even though they are eating the porch decorations ;) and great job on the stool - especially the smaller breeds LOVE climbing.
