And Then the Rains Came

The ponds are filling, and water is standing in the pasture.
Every plant in the garden has shot up an inch or two in the past twenty four hours.

Need I tell you the henyards are total muck?   I still have to go out and lock up, but at least I've given them the hint to go to bed early tonight, and turned the lights out.

3 chicks doing fine.

Cinnamon and Spice, the Khaki Campbell ducks, must be settled in, because a few days ago, they began giving us these:

A pale green and a dark green egg, one from each.  I'm so glad to have duck eggs again!

Khaki Campbells are prolific layers, and I can see why they are so popular amongst waterfowl admirers.

I linked up today with Jami at

for her weekly Tuesday Garden Party.  Lots of good gardening posts this week on Jami's blog, if you have time to come on over and look at it.

Another view of Howard Pine's Greenhouse in Lawrence... amaryllis... aren't they gorgeous!

That's it for a waterlogged Calamity Acres, thank heavens!
