A Short Post from a Sick Poster

Yes, the crud has hit me.

No more visits to my brother for a few days.

I was in the hospital so many times over the past few weeks, it was
inevitable.

Last night, we saw this old friend back in his pasture:

(sorry for the graphic picture)

This was the little stud that was in the pasture along the road all spring.
He disappeared during the summer.

Yesterday, he reappeared, and I was so glad to see him.

This pretty girl is with him.

A man who used to trim our pony and minis owns these horses, and lives across the road, where he has numerous others.  He is an Arab shower, but he has many paints and appys.

This morning, for the first time in ages, I could see the second pond down the hill through the trees.

The last of the zinnias are blooming at the old house.  I'm going to collect seed.
I'm too ashamed to show you the whole gardens, they are a mess, and I am too sick to deal with them.

I think the Cooper's Hawk must have been back, because there
were two cakes of suet out and neither was hardly touched.  I cheated the raccoons and
brought them inside tonight.

The hens have found how much fun it is to go under the henhouse.  I hope I'm not going to have to low crawl to get eggs.

This pretty much sums up our weather today.  We are supposed to have storms tonight and tomorrow.

Keith bought a bunch of pumpkins for the Ag Hall today, and tomorrow, Judy and I will decorate for fall.  I thought he had gone to get small pumpkins, I just looked in the truck and they are HUGE.

Can't wait to show you.  If I survive this stuff.

  2. Oh Mary Ann, so sorry you are sick. Please get some rest and get well. It's awful being sick at this time of year.

I wish we would get rain. Jackson is listed as D3 drought conditions. I think we are D2. D4 is the worst. They are even worried about the Ross Barnett Reservoir now.

I hope he has him gelded. Too many horses without good homes now a days.

Once again, get well. Try to have a great weekend.

  5. Yes, hospitals are good places to get germs, that is where the sick people go. Decorating for fall is fun so hope you are up to it. Take good care.
