All Souls Day

Whew... Halloween is finally over, and tomorrow will be backed away for another year.

Today, All Souls Day, remembers those who have gone before us.  It's also the birthday of this little boy:

Son Jeff turned 42 today, my BABY!

Two days ago, I decided to give the flowers on the porch a good soaking... even though the cold in the last two weeks had stopped most from flowering.  Look what happened:

We even had some callibrachoa blooming behind it!

The portulaca is having one last hurrah, too.

The herding help took the day off, though.

So did I, tuckered out.

I did see a wonderful post first thing this morning, and
here is the link, Chris has some great ideas for Christmas... it's less than 60 days away, and though I love Thanksgiving... it was great to get in the mood for the holiday season.

Looking for a good night's sleep... see you tomorrow!

  4. Happy B'day to your son.

Told the family I'm skipping Thanksgiving and XMAS hoopla cooking this year. Been in a vicious cycle for years....

Thanksgiving, XMAS, New Years and Valentine....then somewhere between New Years and Valentines, Wellness Visit with the Dr. and Vampire Nurse Sharon.

I'm always overweight, blood work is horrible and yadda yadda yadda.

So this year, I've lost 20 lbs since the beginning of the year and I mean to keep it off plus have better blood work.
