Soaring

The sky over Calamity Acres was alive this morning as the geese flew to and fro...
and carried my brother's soul with them to heaven as he joined our parents, and our little sister... and his Savior.
Well done, Mikey!

  1. Oh Mary Ann I am so sorry for your loss. I was starting to worry when I didn't hear anything from you today. If there is anything at all I can do please let me know. Sometimes just talking is exactly what we need. I am sending you a big hug and a prayer for your family. The picture was perfect!

  4. Mom Kim here -yes, you have that exactly right I do believe. I believe those geese knew they were needed right there - that'z why they didn't just fly over like they do so often. (Or they knew there might be some food to be had around your place)

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and trials. I have volunteered with Shiloh in nursing homes with residents who had different stages of dementia - it can be difficult at times to visit with them.
Mikey is at peace now - no more struggles with trips to the hospital and doctors/nurses bothering all the time. I hope and pray that now his family can find some peace and rest.

  14. So sorry to hear this news, Mary Ann. A woman I work with passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning - she was in her early 40s. Way too young to leave us. We should all remember that the next moment isn't guaranteed and we should cherish every minute we have with our family and friends.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

  18. Mary Ann,

My heart is with you and your family right now. I'm so sorry to hear about Mikey.
He will be with you all the time. He's the wind which blows through your farm, the animals who come to visit,
the pretty sunrises and sun sets. Mikey is at peace, with your parents.
Sending prayers and love to you and your family.
