We were so busy yesterday I didn't have time to post.
We don't want to write about the things we did while Keith was fishing, because we wanted them to be a surprise. I'll reprise the three days after he has come home.
So, the babies love to come out of their yard... and do chores with me.
Here's their new feeder (crib):
I bought it used from a man who used to own Nigerians. The idea was that a bale of hay could be put in it to feed them. Uh huh.
Instead, they were watching the world from the shade. It's very hot and humid here today, the way Wednesday was.
They did not know I was watching them, but when they realized I was standing there... you can just barely see Kaycee.... they began calling to their Maaa Maaa.
So, they came with me to do chores.
They checked out the old henyard thoroughly.
And I mean thoroughly. They LOVE that ramp, and ran up and down it.
Kaycee even checked out the juvenile pen while I was filling the waterers.
I haven't posted about it yet, but the ducks are now living in the old henyard, and went out into the pasture at 6:30 this morning for the first time! I could almost feel them shaking for joy.
I'll have pictures tomorrow.
I even had help IN the old henhouse, because, believe me, the ramps are nothing to these guys!
I finally got them to follow through the YARD and back over to the gate by their pen.
I'm typing this while their baaaas are warming, as we call them.
I'll have lots of pictures of the week tomorrow!
Can't wait for the pics Mary Ann!
