Highways and Byways

Our weather continues unbelievable.

Yes, we had some rain last week, for four days.
Now we have had sun off and on, and mild weather.
Today, it got to 66!

Colder temps and rain are coming for the weekend.

Today, Keith and I ran to Lawrence to get some Christmas things, since that
is our closest Hobby Lobby.

We saw (at an estimate) at least 15 to 20 redtailed hawks.

I was trying to get a picture of these horses through the underbrush when something caught my eye in the rear-view mirror.

Can you see him jumping into the yard next to Holy Angels Cemetery?

He was a beauty.

He took off pretty fast.

The creeks were all running high again.  They have gone down some now... but I noticed today some
are still pretty full.

With the rain this weekend... wow... we are going to be in trouble in the
low-lying spots.

These little ones were taking shelter on our porch the other day.... I don't mind, and, as you see,
I still don't have the Christmas lights up.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be the day.

  5. This has been the nicest fall I can remember here. We've had some frosty mornings but nothing has stayed frozen. It warms up during the day. You got some lovely pictures and I loved seeing the deer. They are always so handsome. Hope you get the lights done. I am still working on my cards.
