How did It Get to Be Saturday?

I know it's Saturday.  The day got away from me yesterday, does that happen to you?  I was finally able to eat today, and go to an annual pair of local craft shows with my little Sis, Kathleen.

I also had a talk with our nurse at our office, and he informed me that because I had "ahem"  "stomach complaints" as well as the fever, that it was most definitely NOT flu that I had, but some kind of food poisoning/stomach bug.  All I know is, it was a hard week.  Just so you know, (sorry about this) vomiting does NOT herald the flu!

Back to my sister... I don't write a lot of really personal things, but I love my little sister, who has always been a helpmate and encouragement to me during our lives.  We have two older brothers, but the "boys" (now 71 and 70) were a full ten years older than we, and had their own sets of friends, etc., so that my mom and dad actually almost had two separate families.

Here's my sis looking at a darling little outfit at one of the craft shows... she has two beautiful little grandgirls....

We had such a good time looking at all of the beautiful Christmas decorations...

and handcrafted items

and after the craft shows, we had a lovely lunch together, where we sat for an hour and talked about our cousins, and our brothers, and old times and old holidays.  It was so much fun.

You see, my sister has just come home from Fatima, Portugal, and from Lourdes, France.  The time I have with her I treasure in my heart, and will always.

I hope that you will all think of her and say a prayer for her tonight.

  3. Glad you are feeling better. Stomach bugs can be every bit as bad a the flu. It is great spending time with your sis. I'm happy you two are close.
