No cherry tree, I'm afraid, but here is the black mare that Jill took pictures of on Monday afternoon.
She was a beauty, a Black Beauty, with only a tiny spot of white on her forehead.
Jill, who is a far better photographer than I, told me it is almost impossible to get a good picture of a black horse, and this girl was truly black!
I wish I knew who owned this girl... she was by herself in a pasture and I looked around and realized she was watching a gorgeous paint horse across the road. I wish we had gotten a picture of it, it was truly marked loudly. The black was fat and well-cared for, so there were no qualms about that, and she welcomed a scratch on the neck from Jill.
The up close picture of her face is very good.
